The Government Equalities Office survey, which can be considered the most robust data source found that 29% of those in employment reported having experienced some form of sexual harassment in their workplace or work-related environment in the last 12 months.
Sexual Harassment has an huge impact on people’s lives, well-being and experiences of work. The experience of workplace sexual harassment is shown to cause harmful psychological and physical harm, with a large number of victim-survivors thought to experience post traumatic stress disorder, depression, clinically poor sleep and high blood pressure.
We Need Urgent Change Now – sexual harassment must be treated as a health and safety issue.
